Hofburg Palace: The Sisi Museum and The Imperial Chapel – Vienna, Austria
Remnants of the Great Austrian Empire
For centuries, the Hofburg Palace served as the center of the Habsburg Empire located in Vienna, Austria. This extravagant demesne housed some of the most powerful figures in European history, including Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I and his wife Elisabeth, more affectionately known as Sisi.
The palace offers audio tours of the apartments of both Franz Joseph and Sisi. Across from the entrance of the museum is The Imperial Chapel where the Vienna Boys’ Choir performs every Sunday morning.
