Program Overview
As clinicians, we know that taking folic acid prior to pregnancy may reduce the risk of neural tube defects and other health concerns.
Best Practice Pearls on Folate Counseling is a seven-minute video designed to educate healthcare providers on the need, and best strategies, for counseling patients on folic acid.
This video includes a simulated patient interaction to highlight key areas of importance regarding folic acid and demonstrates the best way to convey the message. It also aids healthcare providers in anticipating patient questions and concerns and includes the appropriate way to address them.
